## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

EN ROUTE AIRCRAFT HAD ENGINE PROBLEMS DIRVERTED, STRUCK A TELEPHONE POLE ON APPROACH. (-23) AIRMAN WAS ENROUTE FROM HOUSTON TO DALLAS WHEN HIS ENGINE QUIT. HE APPARENTLY SWITCHED FROM LEFT MAIN FUEL TANK TO LEFT AUXILIARY AND RESTARTED ENGINE. HE DIVERTED TO CORSICANA AND LOST THE LEFT ENGINE AGAIN ON FINAL APPROACH WITH GEAR AND FLAPS DOWN. HE FAILED TO MAINTAIN AIR SPEED ABOVE VMC, ROLLED TO THE LEFT, AND CRASHED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
