## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

KATZEN WAS PILOT IN COMMAND OF N33RK DURING THE FINAL APPROACH SEGMENT OF HIS LANDING AT PUNTA GORDA HE TRANSMITTED HIS NEED AND INTENTION OF MANEUVERING FOR SPACING DUE TO TRAFFIC. ON LANDING THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED A LANDING GEAR FAILURE. INSPECTION OF THE GEAR ASSEMBLIES (RT. MAIN AND NOSE GEAR) REVEAL CLEAN BRIGHT FRACTURES CONSISTENT WITH OVERLOAD FAILURES. THE SIGNATURES ON THE RUNWAY INDICATE THAT THE AIRCRAFT HAD A HIGH RATE OF DESCENT WITH INSUFFICIENT SPEED TO FLAIR THUS IMPACTING FIRMLY. CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
