## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT FIRST DID FLY OVER, AND NORMAL APPROACH, FOR SHORT FIELD LANDING TO THE SOUTHWEST. LANDED AND RETRACTED FLAPS FOR BETTER BRAKING. NOTICED DEER ON FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT (DID NOT SEE ON FLYBY). MIDWAY DOWN RUNWAY, VEERED LEFT TO AVOID DEER AND LET AIRCRAFT PROCEED DOWN RUNWAY. SOUTHWEST END OF FIELD HAD STANDING WATER AND SURFACE WAS POOR. PILOT REALIZED AIRCRAFT WOULDN'T STOP AND TURNED MAGS OFF; AIRCRAFT SLID IN BRUSH AND HIT A COUPLE OF SMALL TREES ON SOUTHWEST END OF FIELD. ENGINE WAS STOPPED, BUT BENT ONE BLADE ON PROPELLOR, AND DINGED LEFT WING TIP. BROKE STRAP ON NOSE GEAR. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
