## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE ON A PLEASURE FLIGHT FROM BURLINGTON, IOWA, TO KEOKUK, IOWA, TO BURLINGTON, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THE FLAPS. THE FLAPS WOULD NOT LOWER TO A PARTIAL SETTING BUT COULD BE SELECTED TO A FULL DOWN POSITION. WHILE WORKING WITH THE FLAPS, THE PILOT FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. HE WAS USING THE WING SPOILERS TO SLOW HIS SPEED, AND THEREFORE, USING ENOUGH POWER TO PREVENT THE GEAR HORN FROM ACTIVATING. THE PROPELLER AND BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF A GEAR UP LANDING. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
