## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE CONDUCTING SOLO CROSS COUNTRY REQUIREMENT, STUDENT PILOT EXPERIENCED ROUGH ENGINE OPERATION DURING DEPARTURE FROM CRW. PILOT REQUESTED AND RECEIVED ATC CLEARANCE FOR RETURN TO AIRPORT. A/C LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT REVEALED ENGINE FUEL PRIMER LINES HAD FRACTURED AND SEPARATED AT #2 & #4 CYLINDER HEAD FITTINGS, CAUSING EXTREME LEAN FUEL/AIR MIXTURE. COPPER PRIMER LINES SEPARATED AT SOLDERED JOINT TO THREADED CONNECTOR. FAILURE CONSISTENT WITH CYCLIC FATIGUE. COMPONENT TIME IN SERVICE: 5554.0 HRS ESTIMATED. 8010-4 MALFUNCTION DEFECT REPORT SUBMITTED TO AFS-640.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
