## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-16) AT THIS TIME THE AIRCRAFT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION TO SEE IF THERE WAS/IS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM OR NOT WHICH WOULD CAUSE THE AIRCRAFT TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT ON TOUCHDOWN. AT THIS TIME I'M WAITING FOR THE OUTCOME OF THE AIRCRAFT INSPECTION BEFORE PURSUING ANYTHING ON THE PILOT. (AMENDMENT): AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING THE AIRCRAFT THE MECHANICS FOUND THAT THE RIGHT HAND ANTISKID WARNING LIGHT WAS ON. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE RIGHT HAND INBOARD ANTISKID GENERATOR HAD A HIGH AMOUNT OF CORROSION ON THE CANNON PLUG CAUSING IT TO GIVE THE SYSTEM THE INDICATION THAT IT WAS LOCKED UP. THI WOULD CAUSE ONLY THE LEFT BRAKES TO WORK MAKING THE AIRCRAFT DRIFT TO THE LEFT ON ROLLOUT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW96LA405](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW96LA405), Sep 30, 1996: Israel Aircraft Industries 1125 Westwind Astra (N419MK), Aspen, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: failure of the right brake antiskid, due to corrosion of a canon plug; and failure of the flight crew to revert to the normal brake system.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
