## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: MR. SHUMARD HAD JUST RETURNED FROM A PRACTICE FLIGHT. HE TAXIED TO THE FUEL SERVICE ISLAND, SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND REFUELED. MR. SHUMARD REBOARDED THE AIRCRAFT AND STARTED THE ENGINE FOR TAXI TO HIS HANGAR. ATCT WAS CONTACTED FOR CLEARANCE, WHICH WAS GRANTED. AS MR. SHUMARD BEGAN HIS TAXI ROLL AWAY FROM THE FUEL SERVICE ISLAND HE DID NOT SEE A LONE CESSNA 180, N8603X. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE PROPELLER OF HIS BT-13A IMPACTED THE RIGHT WING OF THE CE-180, N8603X. STS ATCT REPORTS THE CE-180 HAD BEEN SETTING IN THAT SPOT FOR SOME TIME WHICH IS LOCATED VERY CLOSE TO THE TAXI AREA OF THE FUEL SERVICE AREA. INVESTIGATION REVEALS NO FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
