## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR STATED HE WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION TO A STUDENT WHO HAD SOLOED OTHER AIRCRAFT, BUT THIS WAS HIS FIRST INSTRUCTION IN A BE-77. THE STUDENT HAD COMPLETED ONE LANDING AT THE BURLINGTON AIRPORT, BURLINGTON, WI AND THEN FLEW TO 57C FOR LANDING PRACTICE ON THE SOD RUNWAY 18. ON THE FIRST LANDING THE STUDENT UNDER SHOT THE RUNWAY AND IMPACTED THE SLOPING TERRAIN SHEARING OFF THE NOSE GEAR AND BENDING THE PROPELLER. THE INSTRUCTOR STATED HE FAILED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO IMPACT. INVESTIGATION AND THIS REPORT CLOSED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
