## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT STATED THAT AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF RUNWAY TO THE LEFT ON LANDING. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE; FLIGHT CREW WAS NOT INJURED. INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT REVEALED THAT THE NOSE GEAR STRUT LOST ITS AIR CHARGE. AS A RESULT, WHEN THE LANDING GEAR WAS PLACED IN THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION THE NOSE GEAR WHEEL ASSEMBLY DID NOT ALIGN WITH THE DIRECTION OF FLIGHT. THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE STRUT ASSY MUST HAVE AN ADEQUATE AIR CHARGE TO EXTEND AND CENTER THE WHEEL ASSY. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT COMPLETES THIS INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
