## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON OCTOBER 11, 1996, AT ABOUT 1830 EDT, A BEECH, A36, N1089C, REGISTERED TO DION OIL CO., WAS UNABLE TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR AND LANDED GEAR UP ON RUNWAY 9R AT FT. LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FT. LAUDERDALE, FL WHILE ON A BUSINESS FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT, THE SOLE OCCUPANT. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT AIRGLADES AIRPORT ON OCTOBER 11, 1996. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT AFTER THE INCIDENT REVEALED THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR UP-LOCK ROLLER WAS FROZEN AND DID NOT ALLOW THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
