## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT AS HE LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR, HE HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE; HOWEVER, THE IN-TRANSIT LIGHT EXTINGUISHED IN THE NORMAL MANNER AND HE GOT THREE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHTS. THE LANDING WAS NORMAL UNTIL AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED, HE LOWERED THE NOSE AND THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP ON THE MAINS AND NOSE FAIRING. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO BOTH PROPS, RADAR DOME, NOSE FAIRING AND GEAR DOORS. THE INSPECTION REVEALED THE NOSE GEAR NOSE BRACE R/H TUBE HAD CRACKED COMPLETELY THROUGH. THE FAILURE OF AFT DRAG BRACE APPEARS TO HAVE PREVENTED THE OVER CENTER LOCKING ACTION. M OR D TO BE COMPLETED BY MAINTENANCE FACILITY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
