## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE LEFT ENGINE THRUST REVERSER FAILED WHEN THE 2.95 BLEED VALVE MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT ENGINE THRUST REVERSER HALF. THE PILOT REPORTED AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF VIBRATION UPON DEPARTING ATLANTA ENROUTE TO PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL. SOME PIECES OF THE THRUST REVERSER WERE RECOVERED FROM THE RUNWAY AFTER DELTA AIRLINES GATE PERSONNEL REPORTED THE CONDITION OF THE ENGINE AT THE GATE. THE THRUST REVERSER HALF WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE THE NEXT DAY. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
