## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AFTER DEPARTURE PILOT COULD NOT RETRACT LANDING GEAR MANUALLY OR ELECTRICALLY. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO PTS AND MADE A GEAR-UP LANDING. THE LANDING GEARS WERE PARTIALLY EXTENDED CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR DOORS, PROPELLER AND MINOR DAMAGE TO VARIOUS ANTENNAS. CONTACTED MAC MCDERMED OF MAC'S AIRCRAFT REPAIR IN PITTSBURGH. HE STATED THAT THE LANDING GEAR "GEAR BOX COUPLING" WHICH COUPLES THE ELECTRIC MOTOR TO THE GEARBOX APPEARED TO BE BROKEN. I REQUESTED AN M OR D FORM FROM HIM BE SENT TO THIS OFFICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
