## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON NOVEMBER 1, 1996, A PIPER PA-31-350, N527DD, PILOTED BY MADELINE ALES, LANDED GEAR-UP AT WALKER FIELD, GRAND JUNCTION, CO AT APPROXIMATELY 1045 LOCAL TIME. THERE WERE SIX (6) PEOPLE ON -BOARD AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS RESTRICTED MAINLY TO THE AIRCRAFT BELLY, WITH MINOR DAMAGE TO EACH OF THE PROPELLERS. THE PILOT HAD ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND THE MAIN LANDING GEAR UNSUCCESSFULLY SEVERAL TIMES, INCLUDING EMERGENCY OR MANUAL EXTENSIONS. THE NOSE GEAR WOULD EXTEND AND RETRACT NORMALLY. INVESTIGATION REVEALED HYDRAULIC FUEL FILTERS WERE CLOGGED WITH EVIDENCE OF RUBBER-LIKE MATERIAL, WITH POSSIBLE CONTAMINATION THROUGHOUT THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THIS IS A FINAL REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
