## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT DEPARTED BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA ENROUTE TO BURBANK, CALIFORNIA. AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED TURBULENCE AT FL 35,000 OVER KANSAS. WHEN THE PILOT WENT TO THE CABIN TO CHECK ON HIS PASSENGERS, HE NOTICED FUEL SIPHONING FROM UNDER THE LEFT WING. A DECISION WAS MADE TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING AT GARDEN CITY, KANSAS. PILOT STATED THAT A MECHANIC WAS EMPLOYED TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM AND HE ASCERTAINED THAT THE SCREWS AT THE FUELING PORT WERE NOT PROPERLY TORQUED. THE MECHANIC TORQUED THE SCREWS AND APPROVED THE AIRCRAFT FOR RETURN TO SERVICE. THE PILOT STATED THAT KAL-AERO OF KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN HAD JUST COMPLETED SOME WORK ON THE AIRCRAFT AND BELIEVED IT WAS SB 1125-57-136R2 PERTAINING TO THIS FUELING PORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
