## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: SUN PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL, FLT #8521, REGISTRATION N521DB, B-727-243, WHILE TAXIING FROM RAMP ONTO TAXIWAY "SIERRA" IN BEDFORD, MA, CAUSED JET BLAST DAMAGE TO FIVE GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT THAT WERE TIED DOWN ON THE RAMP AT 0950 EST. THE BOEING 727 WAS CLEARED TO TAXI USING TAXIWAY SIERRA TO RUNWAY 11. THIS "WOULD HAVE BEEN" ACCOMPLISHED BY TAXIING (VIA STRAIGHT AHEAD) TO TAXIWAY SIERRA, VIA TANGO, VIA WHISKEY, TO THE APPROACH END OF RUNWAY 11. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED FROM THE TERMINAL AREA (STRAIGHT AHEAD) TO TAXIWAY SIERRA. AS THE AIRCRAFT MADE THE RIGHT TURN ONTO SIERRA, THE RIGHT MAINS WENT OFF THE HARD SURFACE ONTO THE GRASS AREA. THE GRASS SLOWED THE AIRCRAFT'S FORWARD SPEED, AND THE PILOT ADDED ADDITIONAL THRUST TO OVER COME THE DRAG ENCOUNTERED BY THE SOFT GRASS AND MUD. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED DUE THE GRASS AND MUD, THE ENGINES WERE NOW POINTED AT A CRITICAL ANGLE TO THE SMALL AIRCRAFT IN THE TIE DOWN AREA. A TOTAL OF FIVE AIRCRAFT WERE DAMAGED FROM THE JET BLAST FROM N521DB. ONE AIRCRAFT WAS COMPLETELY FLIPPED OVER BY THE BLAST, THE OTHER FOUR AIRCRAFT WERE BLOWN INTO EACH OTHER. ALL FIVE AIRCRAFT ARE OWNED BY EXECUTIVE FLYERS AVIATION INC. THE PIC RAN OFF TAXIWAY (HARD SURFACE) ONTO GRASS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
