## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE OPERATOR AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT WAS THE MECHANIC WHO HAD WORKED ON THE ENGINE. HE WAS DOING A HIGH SPEED TAXI AND GOT UP TO FULL THROTTLE AND HALFWAY DOWN THE RUNWAY WHEN THE LEFT ENGINE LOCKED UP AND STOPPED RUNNING. THE AIRCRAFT LIFTED APPROXIMATELY 8-10 FEET OFF THE GROUND AND MADE A HARD LEFT TURN, STRUCK THE GROUND AND DID A NOSE TO TAIL CARTWHEEL AND FINALLY CAME TO REST RIGHT SIDE UP APPROX. 350 FEET AWAY FROM THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY IN THE MUD AND GRASS. VICTIM'S INJURY WAS A SMALL LACERATION TO HIS FOREHEAD. SINCE THERE WAS NO INTENT TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT, THIS WAS CALLED AN INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
