NARRATIVE: AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON RWY 17, AIRCRAFT ROLLED ABOUT 100 YARDS AND THEN GEAR CAME UP BY ITSELF (GEAR HANDLE DOWN & 3 GRN LTS) AIRCRAFT SKIDDED OFF RWY AND INTO A POND. AIRCRAFT SANK APPROX. 1/3 OF THE FUSELAGE. PILOT GOT OFF A/C WITHOUT INJURIES. MAINTENANCE TO DETERMINE PROBLEM. NO FURTHER ACTION PENDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
