## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: JUST PRIOR TO VI THE LEFT MAIN OUTBOARD TIRE BLEW. THE FLIGHT CREW COULD SEE TRAILING EDGE FLAP DAMAGE, AND THE TOWER REPORTED METAL ON THE RUNWAY AND DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN GEAR DOOR. THE CREW ELECTED TO STAY IN THE AREA, BURN OFF FUEL AND MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. CONCERNED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A POST LANDING FIRE THE DECISION WAS MADE TO DO AN EMERGENCY EVACUATION. PRIOR TO THE LANDING THE CREW AND PASSENGERS WERE BRIEFED ON WHAT DOOR WOULD BE USED. THE R1 DOOR SLIDE TWISTED ON DEPLOYMENT SO THE CREW OPENED THE L1 DOOR AND DEPLOYED THE SLIDE. DURING THE EVACUATION ONE PASSENGER BROKE THEIR ANKLE. AFTER LANDING BOTH ENGINE FIRE BOTTLES WERE DISCHARGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
