## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT STATED: ON DOWNWIND AT MRY, RWY 28R, THE AIRCRAFT THROTTLE WAS REDUCED TO DECREASE AIRSPEED. AS THE THROTTLE WAS PULLED BACK THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. JUST AFTER TOUCH-DOWN, THE ENGINE QUIT AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIED OFF THE RUNWAY UNDER ITS OWN MOMENTUM. THE CAUSE OF THE ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND WHEN THE CAUSE IS DETERMINED, BY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, A MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT WILL BE SUBMITTED. NO PILOT DEVIATION AND NO 8010-11 GENERATED. THIS TERMINATES THE INVESTIGATION AND THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
