## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT N2271L, A BEECH 55, EN ROUTE FROM ADDISON, TX TO BOBBY L. CHAIN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT IN HATTIESBURG, MS REPORTED OIL LEAK IN RIGHT ENGINE, WAS DIVERTED TO MAJORS FIELD, GREENVILLE, TX. A MECHANIC AT THE LOCAL FBO DISCOVERED A BREATHER LINE FOR OIL FILLER STANDPIPE DISCONNECTED FROM PREVIOUS SERVICING. THIS ALLOWED CRANKCASE OIL TO ESCAPE. MECHANIC CONNECTED LINE, REFILLED OIL, AND AIRCRAFT DEPARTED. NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
