## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BEGAN GO AROUND AFTER PORPOISING LANDING WITH CARB HEAT ON. LOST CONTROL VEERED INTO SNOWBANK OFF EDGE RUNWAY. (-23) THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO SKIP ON THE RUNWAY DURING EXTENDED TAKE-OFFS AND LANDINGS WITH THE CARBURETOR HEAT SELECTED IN THE "ON" POSITION. THE PILOT ADDED FULL THROTTLE (WITH CARB HEAT ON) IN AN ATTEMPT TO EXECUTE A SOFT-FIELD TAKE-OFF WHEN HE REALIZED THE AIRCRAFT WAS VEERING TOWARD THE LEFT ON THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND NOSE WHEEL IMPACTED THE SNOWBANK ON LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS FLIPPED (UPSIDE DOWN) OVER ONTO ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
