## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON FEBRUARY 5, 1997, AT 0948 CST, A FALCON JET, MODEL 900EX, N030L, DEPARTED LITTLE ROCK AIRPORT FOR FIRST TEST FLIGHT. DURING CLIMB, THE CREW DETECTED SMALL TRACES OF SMOKE FROM COCKPIT. THE PILOT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING BACK TO LIT AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. UPON INSPECTION, THE CAUSE WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE WINDSHIELD HEAT SOLENOID NUT THAT WAS LOOSE. MAINTENANCE CORRECTED PROBLEM BY TORQUING THE TERMINAL NUT. NO OTHER ACTION NEEDED. REPORT CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
