## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: N8145Q, A CESSNA 414, INBOUND TO LIT, NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER LANDING AND AFTER THE ENGINE HAD BEEN FEATHERED. NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE. PILOT STATED THAT WHEN LANDING, GEAR HANDLE WAS PUT DOWN. THE NOSES GEAR LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. HE MADE A MISSED APPROACH AND ATTEMPTED TO VERIFY THE LIGHT WITH NO SUCCESS. TOUCHED DOWN ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR AND FEATHERED AND SECURED BOTH ENGINES. DURING THE ROLLOUT, WAS ABLE TO "BUMP" BOTH STARTERS IN ORDER TO POSITION BOTH PROPELLERS SO THEY WOULD NOT HIT THE RUNWAY ON IMPACT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AT CENTRAL FLYING SVC. INSPECTED AND FOUND THE BELLCRANK DAMAGED AND THE EXTENTION ROD BENT. SUSPECTED THIS TO HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THE GEAR WAS RETRACTED ON DEPARTURE FROM ASG. M OR D (S) SUBMITTED ON DEFECTIVE PART(S). THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
