## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT WAS GIVING A FLIGHT REVIEW TO A STUDENT IN THE INSTRUCTORS AIRCRAFT, PA23-250 WHEN THEY HIT A LARGE BIRD 22 MILES N/W OF DADE COLLIER AIRPORT. THE BIRD WENT THROUGH THE NOSE CONE AND WAS LOGGED IN THE BAGGAGE BAY OF AIRCRAFT. THE FLIGHT RETURNED TO OPA LOCKA AIRPORT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INJURY. NO FIRE. NTSB STATES BASED ON DAMAGE DESCRIPTION NOT AN ACCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
