## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON MARCH 2, 1997, AT ABOUT 0920 PST, WHILE ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM ROSAMOND SKYPARK AIRPORT, CA, TO PALO ALTO AIRPORT, CA, MR. CRAIG TAVERNA, PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF A CE-210-T21OK, N9469M, MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ABOUT 30 NAUTICAL MILES SOUTHEAST OF BAKERSFIELD MEADOWS AIRPORT, (BFL). THE AIRCRFT HAD PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED RADIO COMMUNICATION WITH BFL AND ADVISED BFL OF A FUEL PROBLEM. DURING OR AFTER THE ENGINE STOPPED, THE PILOT EVIDENTLY SWITCHED FUEL TANKS. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND RETURNED TO ORIGINAL FUEL SELECTOR SETTINGS. THERE APPEARS TO BE MINOR DAMAGE AND NO INJURIES. NO OTHER AIRCRAFT WERE INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITT^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
