## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE AIRCRAFT WAS ARRIVING IN THE HAVASU TERMINAL AREA FROM A FLIGHT TO LAS VEGAS. WHILE CIRCLING OVER THE LAKE AT APPROXIMATELY 2000' AGL THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT ENERGIZED THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, AND ATTEMPTED A RESTART, BUT WAS FORCED TO ABANDON THIS EFFORT TO CONCENTRATE ON THE FORCED LANDING. A LANDING WAS MADE ON A HIGHWAY WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO MECHANICAL FAULT COULD BE FOUND WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN THE ENGINE FAILURE, WHEN THE AIRCRAFT WAS REFUELED, IT WAS FOUND TO CONTAIN APPROXIMATELY FOURTEEN GALLONS OF FUEL, WHICH WAS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN THE TWO MAIN FUEL TANKS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
