## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB IAD97LA058](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/IAD97LA058), Mar 28, 1997: Bellanca 8KCAB (N1118E), Warrenton, VA, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's inadequate compensation for wind conditions and failure to maintain directional control of the airplane. The crosswind was a related factor.

## Other reports on N1118E (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19940603028639I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19940603028639I), Jun 3, 1994: Bbavia 8KCAB (N1118E), Ogden, UT, Minor damage. Ground looped on landing. Low time in tail wheel type.
