## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON MARCH 31, 1997 AT APPROXIMATELY 1100 CST, AN AERONCA 7AC, N1196E, WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT AT NORTHWEST REGIONAL AIRPORT, ROANOKE, TX. THE AIRCRAFT WAS HAND PROP STARTED BY THE PILOT. ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WAS TRYING TO HOLD DOWN THE AIRCRAFT TAIL DURING THE START PROCESS. WHEN THE ENGINE STARTED, THE AIRCRAFT MOVED FORWARD AND COLLIDED WITH A CESSNA 172P, N6380K, WHICH WAS PARKED ON THE RAMP. THIS RESULTED IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO BOTH AIRCRAFT. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
