## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON 4-05-97 A MOONEY M20K, N517CP REGISTERED TO SOUTH FLORIDA AIRCRAFT SALES INC. LANDED GEAR UP ON RUNWAY 12 AT STUART AIRPORT, STUART, FLORIDA, WHILE ON A PERSONAL FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PRIVATE PILOT AND HIS ONE PASSENGER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE LOST BOTH RADIOS IN THE VICINITY OF VERO BEACH, AND ON APPROACH TO STUART CYCLED THE LANDING GEAR 3 TIMES AND DID NOT HEAR THE NORMAL "THUMP". HE LANDED AND THE GEAR WAS UP. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL STATED THAT THE LANDING GEAR MOTOR CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED. THEY PUSHED IN THE BREAKER AND THE GEAR CYCLED NORMALLY AND LOCKED IN THE DOWN POSITION. NO FURTHER LANDING GEAR INSPECTION HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED SINCE THE ACCIDENT AND NO DETERMINATION HAS BEEN FOUND FOR THE LANDING GEAR PROBLEM AS EXPERIENCED BY THE PILOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
