## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON APRIL 9, 1997, N7298, A BOEING 727-222 OPERATING AS UNITED FLIGHT 1450, DEPARTED DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DENVER, CO, ENROUTE TO EPPLEY AIRFIELD, OMAHA, NE. ON APPROACH TO OMAHA, NE THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT CIRCLED OMAHA, NE AND LOWERED THE GEAR FOLLOWING EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE FOUND A HOSE ASSEMBLY LINE LEAKING IN THE STABILIZER AREA. THE HOSE WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
