## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT WAS GIVING RIDES AT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, LINCOLN, NE. THE PILOT HAD MADE TWO FLIGHTS USING RUNWAY 17L. THE TRAFFIC FLOW WAS THEN CHANGED TO THE NORTH. ON THE THIRD FLIGHT, THE PILOT DEPARTED ON RUNWAY 35R. WHEN HE RETURNED FOR LANDING, THE PILOT LINED UP ON TAXIWAY INSTEAD OF RUNWAY 35R. THE MISTAKE WAS NOTED BY AIR TRAFFIC PERSONNEL AND THE PILOT WAS INSTRUCTED TO GO AROUND. THE GO AROUND WAS INITIATED FROM THE LANDING FLARE. ANOTHER AIRCRAFT (CESSNA N3717U) WAS TAXIING FOR TAKEOFF. APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF TAXIWAYS N AND A, THAT PILOT NOTED THE POSITION OF N44KE AND HELD SHORT OF TAXIWAY A. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
