## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE FLAPS WOULD NOT GO DOWN (EXTEND) DURING APPROACH AND COULD NOT REGAIN CONTROL OF THE FLAP SYSTEM, WHICH IS WHY OTHER WAS MARKED IN BLOCK 21B. MAINTENANCE FOUND AND FIXED A DISPLACED CANNON PLUG PIN IN THE LEFT OUTBOARD FLAP CANNON PLUG SENSOR, AND THE SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. A TEST FLIGHT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS ALSO CONDUCTED WITH SATISFACTORY RESULTS. CONTINENTAL EXPRESS SUBMITTED A MECHANICAL INTERRUPTION SUMMARY REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
