## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE FROM DBQ TO CAK. AT 2,500 FEET AND 9 MILES WEST OF CAK THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE LOST POWER AND THE THROTTLE CONTROL WAS NOT RESPONSIVE TO CONTROL THE ENGINE POWER. THE ENGINE POWER COULD NOT BE RESTORED WITH THE THROTTLE CONTROL. THE PILOT MADE A FORCED LANDING IN A VACANT PLOWED FARM FIELD. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE PILOT OR AIRCRAFT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE PART NO. 12-856, THROTTLE LEVER CAME LOOSE FROM PART NO 13-1522 SHAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
