## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON MAY 15, 1997, AT 16:10 HRS LOCAL TIME, A BEECH BARON, BE-55, N77EE, WAS MAKING A TOUCH AND GO AT CHESTERFIELD AIRPORT, CHESTERFIELD, VA AFTER LANDING AND PRIOR TO TAKE-OFF, THE PILOT QUICKLY RAISED THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE, INSTEAD OF THE FLAP HANDLE. THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PROPS AND BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE INSTRUCTOR WAS COUNSELED BY RAYMOND E. SCOTT, AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR, OPERATIONS, AT AEA-FSDO-21.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
