## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON MAY 21, 1997, AT 2205 EST, A DEHAVILLAND, DHC-8-102, EI-CHP- OPERATED BY ALLEGHENY AIRLINES, DURING THE LANDING PHASE, EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF HYDRAULIC FLUIDS. THE NUMBER 1 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM LOST CONTENT DOWN TO 1/2 QUART. A FLAPS UP LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT . THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MECHANIC FOUND THE RIGHT INBOARD BRAKE ASSEMBLY BROKEN. THE MECHANIC REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RIGHT INBOARD BRAKE ASSEMBLY. AN OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
