## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: SDR WILL BE SUBMITTED AFTER VENDOR INSPECTION AND TESTING OF GENERATOR AND CSD. ON CLIMB OUT FROM OAK THE #3 GENERATOR FIELD RELAY OPENED AND WOULD NOT RESET. IN CRUISE FLIGHT INBOUND TO 1 LN #3 FIRE WARNING ACTIVATED. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AND THE FIRE BOTTLE DISCHARGED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT ILN WITHOUT INCIDENT. IT IS BELIEVED THE #3 CSD LOCKED UP CAUSING THE OVERSPEED AND MECHANICAL FAILURE OF THE #3 GENERATOR. THE CSD AND GENERATOR HAVE BEEN SENT TO VENDORS FOR INSPECTION AND TESTING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
