## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON SATURDAY, MAY 31, 1997, AT APPROXIMATELY 1200 PDST, PIC FLOYD DEBOLT LANDED AT CABLE AIRPORT IN UPLAND, CA FROM LONG BEACH AIRPORT TO PICK UP HIS GIRLFRIEND TO TAKE HER TO BIG BEAR AIRPORT. UPON TURNING OFF THE RUNWAY PAST TAXIWAY DELTA, THE NOSE GEAR COMPLETELY COLLAPSED AND THE MAIN GEARS PARTIALLY COLLAPSED. THE FLAPS WERE STILL IN THE FULLY EXTENDED POSITION. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED FOR THE LANDING GEAR. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. APPROXIMATELY TWENTY MINUTES AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE PILOT COLLAPSED ON THE RUNWAY AND WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD UPON ARRIVAL AT THE HOSPITAL FROM A HEART ATTACK. UPLAND POLICE CASE NO 97151018. THIS INCIDENT INVESTIGATION IS NOW CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
