## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM MYF FUEL LOADING WAS VERIFIED FULL BY REFUELING AIRCRAFT. FLIGHT PLANNING CONSIDERING CURRENT CONDITIONS INDICATED AIRCRAFT WOULD HAVE LANDED WITH APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES OF FUEL REMAINING. THE AIRCRAFT FUEL TOTALIZER WAS UTILIZED FOR IN-FLIGHT MONITORING OF FUEL BURNS DUE TO ITS ACCURACY INSTEAD OF AIRCRAFT FUEL QUANTITY INDICATORS. TOTAL FUEL LOADED ON AIRCRAFT WAS 33 GALLONS. AIRCRAFT FUEL TOTALIZER INDICATED RESERVE FUEL WAS REMAINING WHEN THE ENGINE LOST POWER DUE TO FUEL EXHAUSTION. AIRCRAFT MADE AN OFF AIRPORT EMERGENCY LANDING WITH MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURY TO THE OCCUPANTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
