## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT WAS ON VFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM 6X6 TO PGA, AT 6,500 FT. THE ENGINE GOT ROUGH, STARTED SHAKING AND LOST POWER. THE RIGHT FRONT CYLINDER ON THE ENGINE (#5) BROKE OFF RESULTING IN ENGINE STOPPAGE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY ON RUNWAY 24 AT RSW. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE TOP COWLING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE TWO PILOTS ON BOARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
