## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JULY 2, 1997, AT ABOUT 2135 ADT A PIPER PA-20 N1393C REGISTERED TO BARRY QUINTO AND PILOTED BY BARRY QUINTO WAS INVOLVED IN A LANDING INCIDENT AT MERRILL FIELD AIRPORT IN ANCHORAGE ALASKA. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT HE WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 33 AND A GUST OF WIND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO GROUND LOOP. THE RIGHT GEAR COLLAPSED AND BENT THE PROPELLER TIPS. NEITHER THE PILOT NOR HIS PASSENGER WERE INJURED. THE FLIGHT WAS OPERATED UNDER PROVISIONS OF F.A.R. PART 91. THE PILOT WAS COUNSELLED ON 07/10/97. THIS INVESTIGATION AND REPORT ARE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
