## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOTS STATEMENT: MY APPROACH TO 20 FOR TOUCH AND GO WAS MADE ON EXTENDED DOWNWIND DUE TO THE DEPARTURE OF A COMMUTER AIRCRAFT. THE BASE LEG AND FINAL APPROACH TO LANDING WAS NORMAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A LARGE AMOUNT OF TURBULENCE ON FINAL. TOUCHDOWN WAS MADE TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE, SO I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A CORRECTION BEFORE TAKEOFF. I COULD NOT MAKE THIS CORRECTION TO MY SATISFACTION AFTER A FEW HUNDRED FEET ON THE RUNWAY SO I DECIDED TO ABORT THE TAKEOFF AND APPLY THE BRAKES FIRMLY. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT AND STOPPED ON THE GRASS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
