## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT TRIED TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND THE GEAR DOORS OPENED, THE NOSE WHEEL LOCKED BUT THE MAINS WERE JUST HANGING IN PLACE. THE PILOT CLIMBED TO ABOUT 2000 FT. AND TRIED TO MANUALLY PUMP THE MAINS DOWN. NOTHING HAPPENED. THE PILOT THEN CHECKED THE FLUID LEVEL IN THE RESERVOIR, WHICH WAS EMPTY. THE PILOT CONTINUED TO FLY FOR ABOUT 11/2 HOURS AND TRIED TO LOWER THE GEAR. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS THE PILOT LANDED AT 5W5 AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED ABOUT 1500 FEET, THEN CAME TO A STOP. THE NOSE GEAR DOOR HYDRAULIC HOSE RUPTURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
