## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PIC LANDED CROSS CITY AIRPORT RUNWAY 22; LANDED LONG TO AVOID STANDING WATER, APPLIED BRAKES AND AIRCRAFT WENT INTO GRASS, BENDING FIXED NOSE LANDING GEAR AND BENDING PROP WHILE UNDER POWER. LOW TIME PRIVATE PILOT RECEIVED ADDITIONAL 2 HRS TRAINING FROM HIS INSTRUCTORS AT ORMAND BEACH AVIATION ABOUT LANDING AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES. FAA11C COUNSELED PIC ON 8-27-97 BEFORE PIC RETURNS TO AUSTRIA ON 8-29-97.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
