## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT ENCOUNTERED AN ABNORMAL SITUATION ABOUT 30 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT WITH THE RIGHT BRAKE PRESSURE BEING DEPLETED. THE PILOT DECIDED TO TURN BACK TO SCOTTSDALE AIRPORT AND LAND. WHILE THE PILOT WAS ON A 3 MILE LEFT BASE FOR RUNWAY 3, HE PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND DID NOT HAVE A GREEN LIGHT INDICATING GEAR DOWN. HE THEN EXECUTED THE EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND PERFORMED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION BY PUMPING (30-40 TIMES), BUT DID NOT GET ANY INDICATION OF GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT SAID HE TRIED TO DISLODGE THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR BY MAKING STEEP TURNS. AFTER CONVERSING WITH THE AIRCRAFT OWNER AND ATC, HE MADE A GEAR-UP LANDING. THE PILOT SUFFERED NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE UNDERCARRIAGE AND "Q" TIPPED BOTH PROP BLADES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
