## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STRUCK A TRUCK THAT TRIED TO CROSS RUNWAY ON SERVICE ROAD WHILE 206 WAS ON LANDING ROLL. (.4) THE AIRPORT HAS AN ACCESS ROAD THAT CROSSES THE ACTIVE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT HAD LANDED AND WAS ON ROLLOUT WHEN THE PILOT SAW A TRUCK APPROACHING. HE TURNED IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID THE TRUCK BUT WAS UNABLE TO PREVENT THE COLLISION. AFTER IMPACT, THE TRUCK ROLLED ONTO ITS SIDE AND THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER ONTO ITS BACK. AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE ROAD AND RUNWAY, A SIGN IS POSTED THAT WARNS OF LANDING AIRCRAFT. THE DRIVER DID NOT SEE THE SIGN OR THE LANDING AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX97LA313](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX97LA313), Sep 5, 1997: Cessna TU206F (N8487Q), Yucca Valley, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: the driver's failure to see the posted sign and yield to the landing aircraft.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
