## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: MR. DON DAVID WAS GETTING DUAL INSTRUCTION FOR OPERATION OF CONVENTIONAL GEAR AIRCRAFT. THE INSTRUCTOR AND THE STUDENT HAD MADE A NORMAL LANDING, BUT ON ROLLOUT THE STUDENT LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE INSTRUCTOR WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. ALL PILOT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED, AND FOUND TO BE CURRENT. THROUGH THE INTERVIEW OF THE STUDENT AND THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE COMPETENCY OF THE INSTRUCTOR IS NOT IN QUESTION. THE STUDENT'S INITIAL REACTION TO THE LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT MOVEMENT TO BE EXAGGERATED LEADING TO THE INCIDENT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT. ICE01970033.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
