## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER HE MADE A MODERATELY HARD LANDING, THE LEFT MAIN GEAR TIRE BLEW OUT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN VEERED OFF INTO THE WESTSIDE INFIELD AND CONTINUED ON FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR AND LEFT FLAP. THE AIRCRAFT ALSO HIT A RUNWAY LIGHT. MARKS ON THE RUNWAY PAVEMENT AND ROCKS KICKED UP ONTO THE RUNWAY WOULD INDICATE THAT THE AIRCRAFT LANDED JUST SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AND SUFFERED LEFT MAIN DAMAGE AT THAT POINT. NO PILOT DEVIATION. NO 8020-11 GENERATED. A COPY OF THIS REPORT WAS SUPPLIED TO SAN JOSE FSDO OPERATION UNIT. THIS TERMINATES THE INVESTIGATION AND THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.
