UPON REACHING CONROE, THE PILOT HAD TO DO A MANUAL EXTENSION OF THE LANDING GEAR. THE PILOT WAS NOT SURE WHETHER THE GEAR WAS COMPLETELY DOWN, SO HE FLEW THE AIRPLANE OVER CONROE AIRPORT WHERE SOMEONE DID A VISUAL CHECK OF THE GEAR. THE PILOT, AFTER HEARING THAT THE GEAR APPEARED DOWN, LANDED THE AIRCRAFT. THE GEAR FOLDED UP AS THE AIRCRAFT WEIGHT WAS PLACED ON THE WHEELS.
