## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1997, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:30 AM, THE FT. LAUDERDALE FLIGHT STANDARDS DISTRICT OFFICE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF THE INCIDENT CONCERNING AIRCRAFT N2728M, REGISTERED TO FLORIDA FLIGHT TRAINING, INC. PER INTERVIEW WITH THE PILOT, WHILE PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO LANDING, THEY EXPERIENCED LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AT FT. LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGES. ON NOVEMBER 11, 1997, WE RECEIVED A FAX COPY OF THE NECESSARY REPAIRS TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR AND LEFT WING. ALL REPAIRED WORK WERE ACCOMPLISHED PER PIPER STRUCTURAL MANUAL SECTION 5 PARA 4.1 AND 4.2 AND 4.3. 13-1A, CHAPTER 2 SECTION, 3 PARA. 97, A, B, C, AND G.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
